Predicted Chelsea line-up vs Malmo

Chelsea face Malmo on the road in this evening's Champions League clash. The Blues are currently second in their group, and could put themselves on the brink of qualification for the knock-outs with another victory.

Formation: 3-4-3

Predicted Line-up:

Edouard Mendy had a comfortable outing against Newcastle United last weekend, keeping his sixth clean sheet of the Premier League campaign. He is the regular for the league and European games, and is expected to start.

In defence, there could be a couple of changes. Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva could be rested, Trevoh Chalobah and Cesar Azpilicueta could accompany Andreas Christensen in the back three.

Reece James had a stellar outing at right wing-back against the Magpies with two sublime goals with powerful shots. It was his first start since recovering from an ankle injury, and he appears set to continue.

On the opposite end, Marcos Alonso could earn a rare start ahead of Ben Chilwell, who has recently become the first-choice in the league. Alonso had a good start to the season, but Chilwell capitalised as his form dipped.

In midfield, Jorginho seems destined to start. He could have a new partner in Ruben Loftus-Cheek. N'Golo Kante has suffered a fair share of niggles recently, and could be rested. Mateo Kovacic is out with a hamstring injury.

Further forward, Mason Mount is a definite absentee through an illness that kept him out of the Magpies clash. There could be no changes in attack with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech playing either side of Kai Havertz, who should continue in his false number nine role.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-3): Edouard Mendy; Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Trevoh Chalobah; Reece James, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso; Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi.
