Predicted Chelsea line-up vs Leicester City

Chelsea host Leicester City in the Premier League tonight. The Blues lost the FA Cup final to the Foxes last weekend, and they will be aiming to take revenge with a victory.

The Blues are presently fourth on the table with 64 points, two adrift of the Foxes, and one ahead of Liverpool. They must beat the Midlands outfit to avoid the prospect of being leapfrogged by the Reds.

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Predicted Line-up:

Edouard Mendy sat out the previous two games with Kepa Arrizabalaga featuring in goal. However, he is expected to return between the sticks against the Foxes tonight.

In defence, there should be a straight swap between Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta. James played at centre-back last weekend with Azpilicueta in the right wing-back spot.

Marcos Alonso is expected to make way for the return of Ben Chilwell in the left wing-back position. The England international has been the go-to choice, and it was a surprise that he only featured off the bench in the final.

In midfield, Jorginho and N'Golo Kante are expected to start with Mateo Kovacic just returning after a hamstring problem. Billy Gilmour has started the last two league games, but Thomas Tuchel should go with his regulars.

Further forward, Mason Mount is likely to take up one of the attacking midfield positions. Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech could drop to the bench after disappointing displays in the final.

Kai Havertz looks on course to lead the line ahead of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham. Christian Pulisic appears the likely candidate to partner Mount and play behind the German.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Edouard Mendy; Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger; Reece James, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell; Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic; Kai Havertz.
