Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) vs Krasnodar, Gilmour and Pulisic start
Chelsea entertain Krasnodar in the final group stage game of the Champions League tonight. The Blues have already qualified for the last 16 of the competition with the top spot and that should offer Frank Lampard the chance to ring in the changes.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Lineup:
Edouard Mendy has been the undisputed choice in goal over the past few months, but Lampard has confirmed that he will be rested for tonight's clash with Kepa Arrizabalaga donning the gloves.
In the defence, there should be a complete reshuffle. Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson should come in for Reece James and Ben Chilwell respectively in the right and left-back positions.
At the heart of the backline, Antonio Rudiger could accompany Andreas Christensen. Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma have been the regular central defensive pairing, but they are expected to be rested.
In the midfield, N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount have been almost ever-present in the line-up and they should be given a breather. Billy Gilmour, who has returned after a long-term knee injury, is set to start in the holding midfield role. Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho may feature ahead of him.
Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi won't feature tonight after picking up hamstring injuries of their own. With the group already decided, we are fancying Timo Werner to be rested. Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz are likely to take up the left and right wing roles respectively.
Upfront, there should be a start for Tammy Abraham. Olivier Giroud got the nod ahead of him for the recent Premier League clash after netting all four goals in the Champions League victory over Sevilla. Abraham will be aiming to put up a strong display tonight.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson; Billy Gilmour, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic; Kai Havertz, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic
